The terrible accident occurred at the end of the day on a very busy section of the A13. Shortly before 6 p.m., on the section of motorway located under the tunnel near the town of Mantes-la-Ville, in the Yvelines, a vehicle travelling in the direction of the provinces-Paris caught fire for an unknown reason.
“There appears to have been no collision, neither with equipment nor with another vehicle. The car seems to have spontaneously combusted,” TF1info learned from firefighters on Sunday morning, September 13. The toll is very heavy: “A pregnant woman died. A very young child, who was in the car with her, also died. A man, who was also in the car when it caught fire, was taken to the hospital in serious condition,” the same source added.
