An active lifestyle that masked the first signs
Lee Rawlinson was nothing like the typical image of someone with a serious illness. As a non-smoker, very active and physically demanding, he embodied a balanced lifestyle for many.
It all started in early 2024 with mild abdominal pain. Nothing to worry about, he thought at the time. He attributed the discomfort to stress or his intensive training. Since the pain remained tolerable, he continued his daily routine without immediately seeking medical help.
But over time, the symptoms persisted and worsened.
