These things show up in my toilet after it rains. Any idea what they are?

After the storm, the toilet looked like something from a nightmare. Brown, wriggling shapes floated in the bowl, moving just enough to trigger instant panic. The first thoughts were the worst ones—parasites, sewer creatures, or something dangerous rising through the pipes.

But a closer look told a completely different story. They were not worms or parasites at all. They were tadpoles, the early life stage of frogs.
